Obergailbach. The renovated sociocultural hall displays a significant improvement in energy performance.

The municipality of Obergailbach recently celebrated the completion of energy-efficient renovations to its community center. Built nearly 40 years ago, the facility is now a modernized facility, thanks to a project led by ADL Ingénierie and carried out by several local businesses.
Many personalities were present at the inauguration, including the sub-prefect of Sarreguemines, Wassim Kamel, and the mayor of Sarreguemines, Marc Zingraff, representing Franck Leroy, president of the Grand Est region, as well as several elected officials and representatives of local authorities.
Mayor Jean-Marc Hoellinger thanked the institutional partners who supported the various projects carried out in the municipality. He cited the repairs related to the flooding of May 17, 2024, the safety of the roads, and the work on the church. He particularly highlighted the importance of the energy project for the sociocultural hall: a project "subsidized at more than 77% thanks to the aid of the Region, the Department, the State, Europe, and the CEE bonus."
The results are significant: electricity consumption has been reduced to 20% of what it was before the work, and gas consumption has fallen by a third. The materials used have also significantly improved acoustics.
The ceremony concluded with a tribute to two former mayors of the town. A square and a hall now bear the names of Jean-Marie Weibel and Théo Hoellinger.
Jean-Marc Hoellinger said: “Today, we have the immense privilege of perpetuating their legacy by naming a square in honor of Jean Marie Weibel and a room in the name of Théo Hoellinger. These will be places of gathering, celebration, and reflection. They will symbolize everything they accomplished and what they meant to us.”
