Saône-et-Loire. Wolf: Surveillance posts maintained all week

This Tuesday afternoon, a new meeting dedicated to the wolf took place at the prefecture in Mâcon. Present were Prefect Yves Séguy, representatives of government agencies, the Chamber of Agriculture, the French Biodiversity Office, wolf hunting lieutenants, and the Mobile Intervention Brigade (BMI) for "large land predators."

For the past few days, two members of the latter have been providing reinforcements in the Morey sector, where attacks on livestock are occurring one after another. This is both for technical support, in conjunction with the wolf hunt, on the defensive shooting positions, but also in a herd protection role, including the shooting itself.
