Severe thunderstorm watch for several areas of the province

After several days of good weather, a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for several areas of Quebec on Wednesday.
The eastern part of the province is affected by this warning, noting "conditions conducive to the formation of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong gusts, large hail and heavy rain," reports Environment Canada.
Earlier today, the Drummondville and Richmond areas in the centre of the province were issued a severe thunderstorm warning for a "thunderstorm located southeast of Yamaska and moving east-southeast at 40 km/h."
The government agency was monitoring "very strong gusts, hail up to the size of a nickel and heavy rain" for these areas.
