Strasbourg. Role-playing games, board games, fencing... The Summer of Dragons is coming to the Joséphine Pavilion this weekend.

Role-playing games, board games, Mahjong, fencing, folk dancing, Magic tournaments, cosplay... The Summer of Dragons, the new event from the Don des dragons gaming association, promises to be full of adventure. It's coming to the heart of the Orangerie for the first time, from Saturday, July 26th at 10 a.m. to Sunday, July 27th at 6 p.m., non-stop!
Founded in 2023, the association organizes a fun and solidarity convention weekend every December to raise donations for the Telethon , while giving pride of place to board games and the geek universe. After a lull due to Covid, its members relaunched the concept in 2023 and are extending their action for the first time with a summer convention this year.

The Summer of Dragons therefore adopts the usual concept: several spaces including one dedicated to role-playing games (reservations recommended), board games, signings and a large stage for entertainment. A Mario Kart World competition, a murder party, two round tables and a quiz will be offered.
For the first time, around fifteen exhibitors will also be present. Visitors will be able to discover the outfits of the Passion Cosplay association, publishers, illustrators, jewelers, etc. The two associations supported this year, Alsace Nature and Zéro Déchet Strasbourg , will also be present to showcase their initiatives.
Donations can be made on site, but admission remains free to accommodate all types of players, regardless of age, skill level, or means. Curious visitors can participate in introductory sessions, while regulars can dive into a role-playing game that will last most of the night. Weather permitting, outdoor entertainment will also take place.
