Trump raises possibility of de-escalating tariff war with China

US President Donald Trump sees the possibility of a de-escalation of the trade war with China if the two sides sit down and negotiate, said Trump on Tuesday in the wake of US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent pointing out at a closed investor meeting on Tuesday that a trade war between the world’s two largest economies was unsustainable.
