Severe weather in Milan, with heavy rain falling overnight.
Heavy rains are currently hitting Lombardy, particularly the Milan area. On Facebook, Marco Granelli, Councilor for Security and Civil Protection, posted: "Rain in the city and the north from 2:00 AM onwards, and heavier from 5:00 AM. 30 mm in the northern part of the city, and more than 80 mm in Paderno Dugnano and Seveso, less so for now in Monza with 20 mm. Underpass controls are active in the city, and mobile barriers were installed in the Ponte Lambro neighborhood at 6:00 AM as a precaution, and sewer and Lambro river levels are being monitored, which are still low for now. Heavy rains will continue into the morning. Extreme caution is advised."
