The 2nd ASYPS Forum for Transversal Dialogues for Sustainability paid tribute to Domingo Jiménez Beltrán.

Madrid, Feb 27 (EFEverde).- The Association for Sustainability and the Progress of Societies (ASYPS) held the 2nd Forum on Transversal Dialogues for Sustainable Progress , continuing an initiative launched a year earlier to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on sustainability. The event also served to pay tribute to Domingo Jiménez Beltrán , a leading figure in environmental advocacy in Spain and Europe, as well as founder and vice president of ASYPS.
Interdisciplinary dialogue to advance towards sustainable progressIn this second edition, experts and academics addressed six priority thematic areas in sustainability, distributed in two roundtables moderated by Arturo Larena , director of EFEverde, and Almudena Checa , member of the Board of Directors of ASYPS.
The session was led by Carlos Martí , vice president of the association and director of the magazine Ciudad Sostenible , and featured a speech by Luis M. Jiménez Herrero , president of ASYPS. The institutional opening was led by Alejandro Dorado , Commissioner for the Circular Economy of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO).
Through these forums, ASYPS aims not only to foster the exchange of knowledge across disciplines, but also to generate collective publications that capture the main contributions of the debate and contribute to building a more just and resilient society from a cross-cutting perspective on sustainable development.
Furthermore, the event serves as a tribute to the legacy of Domingo Jiménez Beltrán, a key figure in the consolidation of environmental policies at both the national and European levels, and whose commitment continues to inspire the work of multiple generations of experts and institutions. EFEverde
