Call to politicians: a stable and future-proof climate policy
Energie Beheer Nederland (EBN) supports the call of the Social Alliance to keep up the pace of politics in realizing the energy transition and to continue with legislation and resources that strengthen our sustainable energy system and resilience. We must prevent important decisions from coming to a standstill, while there is a lot at stake for our citizens and companies right now. That is why we are part of the Social Alliance that has addressed a letter to the party leaders of the House of Representatives.
In a letter to the party leaders of the House of Representatives, this broad social coalition of 26 parties calls on the party leaders of the House of Representatives to do everything in their power to prevent the Netherlands from stagnating. As a public energy company of and for the Netherlands, EBN wholeheartedly endorses this call. Especially in these times, energy security and sustainability must go hand in hand to be able to guarantee sufficient affordable energy for citizens and companies.
Therefore, continue to invest in energy security and strengthening (energy) autonomy and ensure that the handling of important dossiers, such as the Collective Heat Act, does not come to a standstill. In addition, ensure that strategic long-term climate policy is created to provide certainty to companies and stimulate investments in sustainable energy.
