Polish Gas Company receives funding for a key gas pipeline in Greater Poland

New gas pipelines, with a total length of over 71 km , will increase the absorption capacity of the gas distribution network in the region - we read in the PSG information.
"Our company is intensively expanding its gas network across the country. We have planned investments worth nearly PLN 3.3 billion this year, " said Wojciech Kowalski, a member of the management board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa.
"The construction of new infrastructure is driven, among other things, by the need to modernize the high-pressure gas network east of Poznań, between Kostrzyn and Września. This is a region with significant economic potential, where our infrastructure will meet the growing demand for gas and significantly improve the supply to distribution zones," added Wojciech Kowalski.
" The infrastructure being built in Greater Poland will increase the network's capacity and enable the connection of decarbonized gas sources . Greater Poland is an area of significant interest in connecting biomethane plants. We are consistently working to develop this market and supporting investors interested in connecting their installations to the distribution network, " says Dr. Szymon Paweł Moś, member of the board of Polska Spółka Gazownictwa responsible for energy transition.
The PSG investment has already received a full set of administrative decisions. Agreements have also been signed with the construction contractor and the construction supervision company selected through tender procedures.
According to the schedule, the new infrastructure is scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2028. Estimated capital expenditures for the construction of new gas pipelines under the project amount to over PLN 144 million gross.
