'Eti Bakır' Provided Environmental Education to 7,154 Students

Focusing on people and a sustainable future in production, Eti Bakır continues its work for a sustainable future. Acting with the importance of gaining environmental awareness at an early age, Eti Bakır's 'Environmental Inspectors' project visited 82 schools in the 2024-2025 academic year and contributed to 4,448 students about a sustainable future. With the project that has been ongoing since 2021, a total of 7,154 students have been made aware of the environment to date.

Eti Bakır, one of the group companies of Cengiz Holding and the driving force of the Turkish economy with value-added production, continues its work focusing on people. The company, which has completed another year in the 'Environmental Inspectors' project, which aims to strengthen the environmental awareness of children and young people, has contributed to the development of students as environmentally sensitive individuals. Eti Bakır reached 4,448 students in 82 schools in 6 provinces covering Kastamonu, Artvin, Siirt, Adıyaman, İzmir and Mardin with trainings consisting of 11 topics such as environmental awareness, protection of nature and recycling. The company has contributed to a total of 7,154 children in all its businesses to date with the project launched in Mazıdağı Metal Recycling and Integrated Fertilizer Facilities in 2021. Eti Bakır continues its 'Environmental Inspectors' project, which it has implemented in order to support children and young people's awareness of the environment and to increase social awareness, with determination in all its facilities. Within the scope of the project, 335 students in 6 schools in Adıyaman, 853 students in 8 schools in Artvin (Cerattepe and Murgul), 1,000 students in 11 schools in İzmir, 400 students in 6 schools in Kastamonu, 1,310 students in 48 schools in Mardin and 550 students in 3 schools in Siirt were informed with comprehensive trainings ranging from environmental awareness to recycling, from water and energy saving to zero waste.

Eti Bakır Environmental Director Yusuf Topçu , speaking about the importance of introducing children and young people to the environment and sustainability at an early age , said, “We have completed another academic year. We are aware of the value of raising children’s awareness for a sustainable future at an early age. Our ‘Environmental Inspectors’ project, which we have implemented for this purpose, continues at full speed. We have come together with children and young people in our cities at Eti Bakır facilities. We continue to build a sustainable future together with our environmental engineer friends and students. This project increases our students’ environmental awareness while showing that we are also responsible. We aim to continue our work on issues such as protecting nature and recycling by coming together with more children and young people in the coming years.”
