2025 YEKA competitions have begun

New YEKA competitions for solar and wind energy have been announced, with an announcement published in the Official Gazette. A total of 16 competitions will be open to applications, totaling 2,000 MW of capacity.

GES applications: November 4, 2025, 10:00-12:00

RES applications: November 18, 2025, 10:00-12:00

MINISTER BAYRAKTAR SET A GOAL

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar made a statement at the Wind Energy Congress held in Izmir last week:

They aim to have an installed capacity of 120,000 MW by 2035,

He stated that they would organize a new competition of 2,000 MW every year.

DETAILS

YEKA GES-2025: 10 competitions, total capacity of 850 MWe

YEKA RES-2025: 6 competitions, total capacity of 1,150 MWe

Joint stock or limited companies, joint ventures and foreign capital companies established in accordance with the Turkish Commercial Code can apply to the competitions.

PRICES

Starting ceiling price: 5.50 Euro-cents/kWh

Solar power plant base price: 3.25 Euro-cents/kWh

RES base price: 3.50 Euro-cents/kWh

Once the base price is reached, the contribution fee increase per MW will be 10,000 Euros.

ELECTRICITY SALES PROCESS

Solar Power Plants: 60-month sales rights in the free market

RES: 72-month sales rights in the free market

After these periods, the 20-year purchase guarantee will begin.
