Euro NCAP, an independent organization located in Leuven, Belgium, which evaluates the safety levels of automobiles in Europe, has published a statement regarding the test results of 16 new automobile models, including Togg.
The statement noted that Togg's two models achieved "exceptional" results in Euro NCAP safety tests, adding that Togg has set "high standards" in the European electric vehicle market.
Recalling that Togg's first models were the electric sedan T10F and the electric SUV T10X, the statement said, "Both new electric cars were awarded a 5-star Euro NCAP rating."
The statement noted that the T10F achieved an impressive 95 percent result in adult occupant protection, while the T10X was among the highest-performance cars tested by Euro NCAP with a 94 percent level.
The statement noted that both Togg models received high ratings for protecting children in the vehicle, and that the vehicle's driver assistance systems also provide strong safety.
In the statement, it was reminded that Togg aims to export one million electric cars to the European market by 2030 and plans to increase its electric vehicle range to five models, and that the body design of Togg's SUV and sedan models was made by Murat Günak, a Turkish-origin designer who has led design at Pininfarina and Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen Group.
The statement noted that Türkiye hosts factories of many automobile manufacturers, including European brands such as Fiat, Mercedes-Benz and Renault, and that more than 1.5 million automobiles and commercial vehicles are produced in the country every year.
Experts impressed by Togg
Euro NCAP Programme Director Aled Williams stated that Togg set out to demonstrate that it is an ambitious competitor in the electric car market, and that the vehicle has been produced with robust engineering to offer exceptional safety and receive a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.
“Following the rigorous testing of the new T10F and T10X, Euro NCAP experts were very impressed,” said Williams, adding that it was remarkable that the first two cars from a new brand received five stars.
Williams pointed out that Togg would make a name for himself and gain more respect after his strong performance in the tests.
In Euro NCAP measurements, the Togg T10F received 5 stars with 95 percent adult occupant protection, 85 percent child occupant protection, 78 percent vulnerable road user protection and 80 percent safety assistance.
The Togg T10X also earned a 5-star rating with 94 percent adult occupant protection, 85 percent child occupant protection, 79 percent vulnerable road users protection and 80 percent safety assistance.
Euro NCAP carries out safety assessments on new cars, trucks and vans, providing consumers, policymakers and industry with factual, independent information on the safety performance of vehicles sold in Europe.
