Boyner Takes Sustainability Step with Solar Energy

Boyner continues its investments in renewable energy without slowing down. A 3,066 kWp solar power plant (SPP), to be built in Kırıkkale in collaboration with Tres Enerji, will cover 85% of the annual electricity consumption of its headquarters and select stores. This project aims to prevent the emission of 2,995 tons of CO₂ equivalent annually.

The power plant, which will be built on 3 hectares of non-agricultural land , will generate approximately 4,783,000 kWh of electricity annually. The system will utilize 5,574 solar panels . The investment and operation will be handled by Tres Enerji . The energy generated will power a significant portion of Boyner's stores in Istanbul, Izmir, Bursa, and Manisa.
Boyner plans to achieve annual energy savings of approximately 3 million Turkish Lira with this project. This represents a significant gain not only in terms of environmental sustainability but also in terms of economic sustainability .
Boyner CEO Eren Çamurdan stated that the project is a pioneering step in the sector:
"We continue to create a positive impact for people, society, and the environment. We are proud to be one of the brands that generates its own energy in store operations."
TRES Energy Board Member Atay Arpacıoğulları evaluated the process with the following words:
"We are making solar energy solutions accessible and measurable. This project we are collaborating with Boyner will set an example for sustainability in the retail sector ."
Once completed, the plant will prevent 2,995 tons of CO₂ emissions annually. This amount is equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 1,594 households or the annual carbon sequestration capacity of 5,716 trees. Solar energy creates significant benefits for both nature and businesses.
