Critical Warning from Dicle Electric Against Unauthorized Solar Power Plant Installations

Dicle Elektrik announced that solar power plant installations carried out without a call letter harm the grid and pose a serious security risk. The company emphasized that facilities operating in areas without power supply must also submit a notification letter to the responsible electricity distribution company. General Manager Yaşar Arvas stated, " Installations carried out without a call letter and without submitting the required notification letter can lead to imbalances in energy supply and serious losses of life and property. Prioritizing the public interest and system security, we will implement the necessary sanctions."Dicle Elektrik, which operates in the Southeastern Anatolia Region with the goal of providing loss-free, uninterrupted, and high-quality energy distribution, has issued a significant warning regarding solar power plants (SPPs) installed without an official connection to the grid or without receiving a call letter. The statement stated that unauthorized installations of power generation facilities, whether connected to or independent of the distribution grid, are in violation of regulations and pose serious security risks. The company warned that such installations disrupt the grid's stability, reduce energy quality, and can cause fires, and urged plant owners to submit informational petitions.

Installations carried out without receiving a call for notice or submitting the necessary information petition can lead to imbalances in energy supply and serious losses of life and property. Prioritizing the public interest and system security, we will implement the necessary sanctions.”
Detected facilities will be disconnected from the network without notice.Dicle Electricity announced that solar power plant generation facilities commissioned before completion of the approval process will be removed from the grid without notice, in accordance with regulations. In this context, individuals or legal entities who install facilities in violation of the Unlicensed Electricity Generation Regulation must dismantle their plant equipment and remove them from the parcel within 60 days. It was also announced that these individuals who engage in unauthorized installations will not be able to submit new applications for three years, and a rigorous inspection process will be implemented for any new facilities.
Dicle Elektrik called on all individuals and institutions to act in accordance with the legal framework within the scope of the relevant regulations and stated that it will continue its informational efforts through social media and local governments.
