No capacity for unlicensed solar power plants and wind power plants in May

Energy Journal - As of the end of June, the total production capacity that can be allocated from the distribution level to the transformer center in unlicensed electricity production was announced as 723.32 MW.

Turkey Electricity Transmission Inc. ( TEİAŞ ) published the "Unlicensed Generation Capacity Table Allocated from Distribution Level Based on Transformer Center" and the "Document Evaluation Report for Connection Applications to Transmission System of Unlicensed Electricity Generation Regulation in the Electricity Market" for April 2025, within the scope of the decision taken by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority regarding capacity allocations.

Accordingly, the current unlicensed generation capacity that can be allocated on a transformer center basis from the distribution level was announced as a total of 723.32 MW.

9 APPLICATIONS WERE NOT EVALUATED

On the other hand, it was noted that there was no capacity left in 9 regions in the transmission voltage level between May 1, 2025 and May 31, 2025. TEİAŞ, which evaluated 9 applications from Bursa, Kayseri, Hatay, Karaman, Kırşehir and Gaziantep in May 2025 for the connection of unlicensed electricity facilities to the transmission system, did not include all of these applications in the document and technical evaluation due to regional capacity constraints.
