The Energy of the Future Takes Shape with the 5th Term of the 'Stargate Talent Program'

Sakarya Electricity Distribution Inc. (SEDAŞ) has launched the new phase of its Stargate Talent Program, designed to attract young engineering candidates to the energy sector. This year, eight university students will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of business life through both theoretical training and practical work.SEDAŞ, aiming to shape the future of the energy sector with young people, has launched the fifth term of its Stargate Program. As part of the "Stargate" program, which continues to provide young people with work experience immediately upon graduation, candidates were selected from 1,498 applicants this year and presented to the SEDAŞ Senior Management Team. Following the selection process, young Electrical and Electrical & Electronics Engineers from Sakarya, Kocaeli, Bolu, and Düzce were accepted into the program. Participants will gain industry experience by working in various company departments and will also strengthen their theoretical knowledge through fieldwork and workshops.
SEDAŞ executives stated that the Stargate Talent Program contributes to the development of young talent, saying, " We are delighted to see our young people progress in the industry through the Stargate Talent Program. Since 2020, we have provided 39 students with the opportunity to gain experience. This year, we continue with the same goal. Our goal is not only to provide knowledge and experience, but also to bring innovative perspectives to the industry."
Throughout the program, students will have the opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the distribution sector. They will undertake practical roles in all of SEDAŞ's technical departments, conduct fieldwork, and observe industry processes firsthand. The program, supported by training, will conclude with project presentations. This will give young engineering candidates a strong start to their careers by developing projects that will add value to the sector.
