Türkiye-Africa cooperation in energy and mining is expanding

Türkiye is expanding its partnerships in Africa with new steps in energy diplomacy. A new agreement has been signed with West African countries. This time, Ankara's guest was a high-level delegation from Guinea.
ENERGY AND MINING AT THE FOCUS OF TALKSEnergy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar met with Guinean Energy Minister Namory Camara and Guinean Economy and Finance Minister Mourana Soumah. The meeting, held at the ministry, focused on the electricity and mining sectors.
EFFICIENT MEETING AND COMMON POTENTIALFollowing the meeting, Minister Bayraktar made a statement, noting that Guinea holds significant potential in electricity generation and mining. He stated that they have held concrete discussions to realize these cooperation opportunities.
SUPPORT FOR GUINEA'S ELECTRICITY CAPACITYBayraktar stated that Türkiye, along with the private sector, will contribute to projects aimed at increasing Guinea's electricity capacity. He also noted that Guinea has demonstrated a resolute political will to reform its markets and attract foreign investors.
NEW JOINT PROJECTS IN MINESDrawing attention to Guinea's significant mineral reserves, Bayraktar announced that Eti Maden and MTAIC will take a more active role in Guinea in the coming period and that new projects will begin to be implemented shortly.
Emphasis on strategic partnershipBayraktar emphasized the importance of cooperation in his social media post, saying, "We are determined to develop joint projects by combining Türkiye's experience with Guinea's potential and transform our brotherhood into a strategic partnership."
