Urgent expropriation decision for Hanönü, Saros and Armutçuk transmission projects

Energy Journal – TEİAŞ will urgently expropriate some real estates within the scope of three separate energy transmission projects covering the provinces of Kastamonu, Çanakkale and Zonguldak-Bartın.

With the Presidential Decrees numbered 10022, 10023 and 10024 published in the Official Gazette dated July 1, 2025, it was decided to carry out urgent expropriation for three separate energy projects carried out by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Inc. (TEİAŞ).

Hanönü TM Project (Decision No: 10022)

The real estate required within the scope of the 154/33 kV Hanönü Transformer Center Project to be built within the borders of Kastamonu province will be expropriated.

Saros Basin TM Project (Decision No: 10023)

The real estates in the areas determined for the 400 kV Saros Basin Transformer Center and connection road project planned within the borders of Çanakkale province will be expropriated urgently.

Armutçuk–Şapdağı EİH Project (Decision No: 10024)

It was decided to urgently expropriate the real estates on the route determined for the 154 kV Armutçuk RES TM – Şapdağı RES TM Energy Transmission Line Project planned to be built in Zonguldak and Bartın provinces on behalf of TEİAŞ.

These decisions taken for three separate projects aim to contribute to Türkiye's energy supply security by rapidly completing the relevant transmission infrastructure. Expropriation procedures will be carried out in accordance with Article 27 of the Expropriation Law No. 2942.
