Danish TSO broke the law - with eyes wide open
When Danish trannsmission system operator Energinet changed the feed-in tariff at the turn of the year, it was a clear violation of national law. By abandoning the concept of a geographically differentiated tariff, the TSO introduced a change in methodology, which requires approval from the Danish Utility Regulatory (DUR) prior to implementatoin. However, the system operator had not obtained this approval when the new nationwide tariffs came into force.
