Siemens Energy sold Indian wind business at loss of EUR 240m

Theory is one thing, praxis another. When Siemens Energy signed an agreement in March to sell 90% of its Indian wind business to a group of investors led by US private equity firm TPG, it was not at a price that corresponded to the utility’s own valuation. This will cost the German group a write-down of EUR 240m.
