AGCS expert Julian Auderieth elected President of the European Association for Renewable Gas Trading (ERGaR)

Julian Auderieth's appointment took place last week at the annual general meeting of the European Renewable Gas Registry (ERGaR) in Brussels. Auderieth previously served as Vice President of the association and has been actively involved in the development of the European renewable gas market for years in the biogas sector at AGCS Gas Clearing and Settlement AG.
The international non-profit organization ERGaR brings together renewable gas registries, grid operators, NGOs, traders, and other market participants. The association's mission is to create an integrated market for renewable gases in Europe. By connecting national registry systems for cross-border tradability of certificates, ERGaR promotes investment and innovation. In doing so, the organization accelerates Europe's transition to a climate-friendly economy.
"With its biogas certification system, ERGaR has made a decisive contribution to the market ramp-up of renewable gases in Europe in recent years. In the first half of 2025 alone, over 1.8 terawatt hours of biomethane certifications were transferred using the ERGaR CoO system," said Auderieth. "I look forward to building on this success and further advancing our mission."
