Genera and Matelec showcase innovations and current trends

The International Electrification and Decarbonization Week will take place at the Madrid Exhibition Center from November 18 to 20, 2025. The event will feature the Genera and Matelec trade fairs co-located for the first time.
According to the organizer, Ifema Madrid, more than 800 exhibitors from 26 countries are expected. The exhibition space covers 34,000 square meters, making the event the largest platform for renewable energies, electrification, and technological solutions for the power industry in Southern Europe.
Specialist program with a focus on photovoltaics and energy storageOver 61 percent of the exhibitors are from Spain, and 39 percent are international companies. This reflects both the strength of the domestic market and growing interest from abroad, according to the organizers.

The supporting program offers numerous expert forums and industry meetings. Topics such as decarbonization, digitalization, and electrification are at the forefront. Highlights include the 1st Congress of the International Week for Electrification and Decarbonization, with the participation of the Spanish Institute for Energy Diversification and Conservation (IDAE). The Renewables Days of the industry association APPA will focus on topics such as photovoltaics, energy storage, and the trend toward electrification.
UNEF organizes Genera Solar ForumAnother program item is Electricity System Day, with the theme: "Which electricity system do we need?" There will also be a day dedicated to electromobility and a panel discussion on electrical renovation in residential buildings. A new industry report from the AFME and ADIME associations will be presented there. The UNEF Genera Solar Forum, organized by the industry association, is particularly relevant for the solar industry. Other industry meetings offer opportunities for exchange on topics such as combined heat and power, hydrogen, and market flexibility. The events will take place in several exhibition halls and in the North Convention Center.
Innovation Gallery showcases innovative products and solutionsThe Innovation Gallery will be held for the eleventh time this year at Genera and for the first time at Matelec. It will showcase current developments and projects in the fields of energy efficiency, renewable energy, and electrical installation. In addition to research projects, new technological devices will also be presented. Registration for participation is open until October 15, 2025.
