On Tuesday evening, the public debate on the EPR2 project held its penultimate meeting with a videoconference involving 180 participants. The project's cost, construction timelines, financial model, and electricity prices were all discussed. Many unknowns remain, which will need to be resolved in December.

Opening the proceedings, Antoine Guéroult, a magistrate at the Court of Auditors, stated that "all nuclear reactor projects, whether built or underway, in France or abroad, are experiencing an increase in lead times, delays, and an explosion in the costs incurred."

Regarding the six EPR2 reactors, the magistrate stated that "in December 2023, the cost of building the six reactors, excluding financial costs, represented €67.4 billion in 2020 euros, and €79.9 billion in 2023 euros."
