Floods in Dordogne: Périgueux requests recognition of the state of natural disaster

Floods in Dordogne: Périgueux requests recognition of the state of natural disaster

For the record, the peak was measured at a marker located at the Bassin at 3.43 m, Tuesday 22 at 2 a.m. This is more or less as high as the record of January 1982 (3.44 m) and higher than in September 1993 (3.37 m).

Residents who have suffered damage are invited to send a letter to the town hall's urban planning department (1). These requests must be as specific as possible and include the address, the person's identity, and the extent of the damage. They should be accompanied by photos if possible... These declarations should help the municipality obtain recognition of the state of natural disaster.

Périgueux is not alone in recording the victims. Upstream, at the confluence of the Isle and the Auvézère, Bassillac-et-Auberoche has also requested recognition of the state of natural disaster (2).
