Munchhouse. Methanization unit: the permit has not been revoked, but the file needs to be reviewed.
Following an initial decision by the Strasbourg Administrative Court, the Nancy Administrative Court of Appeal has ruled on the proposed construction of a methanization plant in Munchhouse. The court did not annul the permit, but it cited "illegality" and "manifest error."
In 2021, the Munchhouse Intercommunal Drinking Water Supply Syndicate (which includes the municipalities of Munchhouse, Hirtzfelden, Roggenhouse, and Rustenhart) initiated proceedings before the Strasbourg Administrative Court to cancel the building permit for a methanization unit filed by the company Kaligaz in Munchhouse. This request was rejected in September 2023 by the Strasbourg legal authority.
