On Saturday morning, the residents of Palleau met with the Chagny Sirtom. Individual composters were given to those who requested one. In front of a captivated audience, Émilie Mougel and her colleagues then led a composting workshop, designed to better understand and optimize the household waste cycle. Bio-buckets, with a capacity of 7 liters, were given to participants to facilitate the daily collection of waste. "Attitudes are changing when it comes to the environment, and this initiative is proof of that," Émilie noted. "We also work in schools to raise awareness among younger people." The municipality of Palleau has also installed a municipal composter on Rue du Port for users. It complements the voluntary drop-off point for glass and paper. This is the 19th composter installed in the surrounding villages.
