This week, the caretaker government presented a vision for the future of the chemical industry. The sector faces challenges that hinder investments in sustainability and has been eagerly awaiting the vision. Energeia editor Joep Westerveld discusses the opportunities the government sees and how it envisions the development of this new industry.

In the news overview, presenter Ilse Akkermans and editor-in-chief Wouter Hylkema discuss the work package of high-voltage grid operator TenneT and the regional grid operators , which has grown to approximately 1,300 major grid reinforcement projects – worth €15 billion in annual investments. Meanwhile, a large number of projects from previous investment plans are facing delays. And not a single bid was received for the Nederwiek IA site , it emerged after the tender closed.
