Meeting aims to gather studies and suggestions to revitalize the federal railway network with low utilization

The National Land Transportation Agency (ANTT) will hold, this Tuesday (29), a hybrid public session related to Participatory Meeting No. 3/2025. The meeting will take place in the auditorium of the ANTT headquarters building, in Brasília, but will also feature live broadcast on the Agency's YouTube channel, in addition to interactive participation via Microsoft Teams.

The goal is to evaluate deactivated or underutilized railway sections, which currently represent a dormant heritage. The challenge — and the opportunity — lies in reconnecting Brazil by rail, promoting regional integration, reduced logistics costs, sustainability and economic competitiveness.

The initiative, in addition to being a formal rite of social participation, is a direct invitation to the population, experts, companies, transporters and local governments to contribute with studies, ideas and data on railway sections that, although currently underused or abandoned, could be key to a new cycle of regional and national development.
