Paraná has six lots in the concession process and R$100 billion planned

State is experiencing maximum cycle of infrastructure investments, says Minister Renan Filho
With six lots in the concession process and approximately R$100 billion in planned investments, Paraná is currently the largest road infrastructure hub in Latin America, according to the federal government. Since 2023, the Ministry of Transportation has auctioned four strategic sections of the state's Integrated Highway System, including the Northern Corridor, and is preparing to bid on Lots 4 and 5 in October.
The ministry emphasized that its priority is to ensure that investments translate into effective works, with rigorous execution and direct returns to the population. This Wednesday (3), Minister Renan Filho was in the state to monitor the progress of the interventions under the responsibility of the PRVias concessionaire.
"By the end of the year, Paraná will be the state with the highest number of auctions under the current administration. We will see a complete transformation of highways, from safety to 4G internet connectivity, as well as medical and mechanical services. All of this will help ensure quality of life for the people and economic growth for the state," the minister stated.
According to the plan, Serra do Cadeado received 44 kilometers of drainage clearance, in addition to the construction of a 750-meter concrete barrier to prevent serious accidents, and the installation of 1,243 road signs. Approximately 2,000 tires were removed from the Ronda River, which was also desilted and had its channel regularized.
In the urban area of the city of Ponta Grossa, horizontal signaling, drainage and construction of New Jersey-type barriers were carried out, which have a wide base for maximum stability and impact resistance.
On BR-376/PR, which connects the cities of Santa Paula, Santa Terezinha and Santa Maria, and on PR-445, drainage, garbage collection and installation of vertical and horizontal signage were carried out.
"Lot 3 represents the strength of the Rodovia do Café. It integrates state and federal highways in a joint effort to deliver a major concession program to the people of Paraná," emphasized Sandro Alex, Paraná's Secretary of Infrastructure and Logistics.
