During the 13th ordinary meeting of the ESG Manifesto of the Port of Santos (SP), promoted by the Port Authority of Santos (APS) this Wednesday, three new entities joined the movement. They are: the company Terminal Marítimo do Guarujá S/A (Termag, belonging to the Bunge group) and, as supporters, the consulting firm Ansel & Aras and the Elas no ESG movement.
With three new participants, the manifesto now has 44 signatures, doubling the 22 signatures at its launch in August 2023. The ceremony for the entity's signatures was signed by the APS Operations Director, Beto Mendes, with representatives of the institutions.

Green Wall
During the meeting, APS presented the “Green Wall in the Port of Santos” project to the participants. This is a 9 km long and 2 meter high structure with continuous vegetation. The objectives are to create a milder microclimate in the port area, reduce noise pollution caused by the railway line, improve air quality and attract pollinators to increase biodiversity in the region. When completed, it will become the largest continuous green structure in the world.
The APS also encouraged the companies represented at the meeting to participate in the 1st Senaport – National Seminar on Applied Research in the Port Sector, which will be held next Saturday (9) at the Santos Port Excellence Center Foundation (Cenep).
The event's main objectives are to foster scientific production, promote the exchange of information and strengthen applied research as a strategic tool for the development of Brazilian ports.
The ESG Manifesto is an APS initiative to demonstrate commitment to a more sustainable and socially conscious world. The document is signed by APS itself, local governments, companies and port operators, as well as entities and institutions linked to port activities.
