Minister Bayraktar's marketing presentation: There are great opportunities for Chinese energy companies

Turkey's air and soil are being offered to international monopolies under the guise of mining by the AKP. While many mines are currently operated by foreign companies, the government isn't content with this. Bayraktar stated that they aim to build a nuclear power plant in Thrace and will collaborate with China for this purpose.
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, in an interview with a television channel, stated that "cooperation" could be made with China on this issue.
Bayraktar recalled that opportunities for cooperation between Turkey and China were discussed in meetings held in recent weeks on the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit. Bayraktar explained that he met with companies, including Wang Hongzhi, Chairman of the National Energy Administration, and Zheng Shanjie, Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission. He said, "There are many areas where we can collaborate in energy." Minister Bayraktar emphasized that concrete projects with China have been on the agenda, noting that the company has the capacity to develop very large-scale projects in the energy sector. He added, "One of the concrete projects we are discussing is the offshore wind project. What we call 'offshore wind' will be a first in Türkiye, and perhaps, God willing, we will undertake this with Chinese companies."
'CHINESE COMPANIES ARE CONSIDERING PRODUCTION IN Türkiye'
Bayraktar stated that "Türkiye offers significant opportunities" in energy storage and batteries, adding, "Chinese companies are considering production in Türkiye." Bayraktar also noted that nuclear energy could be one of the most important areas of cooperation, saying, "We have a long-standing negotiation process ongoing on this issue. I particularly conveyed this to Zheng Shanjie, Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, during the visit. We specifically proposed transforming the nuclear power plant project we plan to build in Thrace into a world-class carbon-free energy and data center. We're talking about a massive energy and data park featuring renewable energy, solar, wind, storage, a data center, and a nuclear power plant. This has attracted considerable attention. I believe this is a project that is in the mutual interest of both countries."
Addressing cooperation opportunities, Minister Bayraktar said, "We can collaborate on nuclear energy, renewable energy, energy transmission, and mining. We are discussing projects related to bringing the rare earth element reserves discovered in Türkiye into the economy. Our cooperation in the field of oil and natural gas is also continuing."
