Number of Natural Gas Subscribers in Ünye Exceeds 40,000

Natural gas offers families numerous advantages, including time and comfort, from heating to cooking. It not only contributes economically to budgets but also allows citizens to start each day under a bluer sky. Ünye is one of the districts of Ordu whose air is becoming increasingly breathable, as the number of subscribers using natural gas instead of coal has reached 40,000, resulting in 84,000 tons fewer carbon emissions. Commenting on this significant milestone, Doğan Gürler, Aksa Ordu Giresun Natural Gas Company Manager, said, “We thank our 40,000 subscribers who have chosen natural gas in Ünye and are pleased with the successful completion of our projects in the regions we serve.” Emphasizing that their investments are progressing within the framework of their strategic planning, Gürler continued: “As of today, we are providing safe and uninterrupted natural gas service to 208,000 subscribers across 10 districts of Ordu through our 1,295-kilometer natural gas distribution network. Our activities will continue to expand. Our goal is to contribute to our citizens' budgets, add comfort to their lives, and improve the air quality of our city day by day.”

Four times more economical than coal for heating

Gürler stated that natural gas is preferred because it is a fuel that adds value to life. He said, “According to May 2025 data, natural gas is six times more economical than bottled gas, three and a half times more economical than using an electric stove, four times more economical than using coal for heating, and two and a half times more economical than electricity. Our priority is to ensure our citizens' access to natural gas and will always be a safe gas supply.” Gürler emphasized that ensuring safety under all circumstances and encouraging the safe use of natural gas is an unwavering golden rule for Aksa Ordu Giresun Natural Gas.
