Category: ELECTRICAL ENERGY , ENERGY AGENDA - Date: August 23, 2025
Within the scope of its 136 million TL investment in the Karasu and Kocaali coastal line, SEDAŞ aims to increase energy supply security, modernize infrastructure and provide sustainable solutions to the growing needs of the region. As part of its 2025 investment program, Sakarya Electricity Distribution Inc. (SEDAŞ) is implementing a comprehensive project to strengthen the electricity distribution infrastructure in the coastal region of Sakarya's Karasu and Kocaali districts. This strategic investment, which aims to increase energy supply security while sustainably improving service quality, constitutes a key pillar of modernization efforts in the region. The project, which will be implemented with a total budget of TL 136 million, will include the construction of a double-circuit output line extending from the Karasu Transformer Center to the Kocaali Coastal Root. The project will include three distribution centers, five transformers, a 30-kilometer high-voltage (HV) underground line, a 1.25-kilometer low-voltage (LV) underground line, a 2.27-kilometer high-voltage overhead line, and approximately 6 kilometers of LV overhead line.
SEDAŞ's statement emphasized that the Karasu-Kocaali line has become a critical focal point for energy infrastructure due to the growing population, tourism potential, and seasonal load fluctuations. This investment, planned to respond to the increasing demand, particularly along the coastline, will not only meet today's needs but also provide a robust infrastructure that will adapt to the region's long-term growth dynamics.
