SEDAŞ invests 315 million TL in Başiskele with 10 separate projects

While SEDAŞ modernizes Kocaeli's electricity distribution infrastructure with an investment of approximately 600 million TL, it continues to provide uninterrupted and high-quality energy service to 2 million 250 thousand subscribers. Providing electricity to a total population of 3.9 million in a service area of ​​20 thousand square kilometers, SEDAŞ aims to create a sustainable energy infrastructure by increasing its investments in Kocaeli every year.

Reliable and uninterrupted energy with strategic investments

Investments were planned by taking into consideration many factors such as growth expectations, new connection demands and the need to renew the existing network depending on the population and industrial density in the districts. In these investments made with the aim of minimizing power outages, technical criteria such as the geographical and climatic characteristics of the regions where the facilities will be built, the infrastructure status and the uninterrupted operation of the network were also taken into consideration. In light of all these evaluations, concrete pole, iron pole or underground network solutions specific to the site were implemented.

One of the most comprehensive examples of SEDAŞ's investments in the Kocaeli region was implemented in the Başiskele district. Within the scope of the 315 million TL investment covering a total of 10 separate projects, the district is gaining 2 main distribution centers, 12 distribution centers, 19 transformers, 56 kilometers of high voltage underground lines, 44 kilometers of low voltage underground lines, 5 kilometers of high voltage overhead lines and 26 kilometers of low voltage overhead lines.

With these projects, the quality of electricity distribution in Başiskele will be significantly increased, while the energy infrastructure in the region will be strengthened to meet both current and future needs.
