A wind farm in the low mountain range consisting of 32 high-performance wind turbines with a rotor diameter of 170 meters.

The large-scale project already under construction by the North Rhine-Westphalian wind energy company Westfalenwind is scheduled to be connected to the grid in the fourth quarter of next year and will be operational by 2027 at the latest. Westfalenwind and the French energy group Engie, which only launched a subsidiary for renewable energy business in Germany at the beginning of 2022, have now announced their purchase agreement for the project, which is ready for construction.

Through the acquisition of the wind farm project and other project rights associated with the mutual transaction, which transferred from Westfalenwind to Engie, the wind farm capacity that Engie currently operates or has planned in Germany has almost doubled, announced Anne Bosser, the board member for renewable energies at Engie Deutschland AG.
Before this acquisition, Engie's portfolio in Germany included hydropower and storage facilities, as well as, most notably, wind turbines in the planning or operational phases. Engie also directly markets green electricity generated from wind power.
