APS and PF sign agreement to build new police station in Santos

The Port of Santos has included the project in its Investment Booklet and will allocate R$58 million to the project.
The Port Authority of Santos (APS) and the Federal Police signed, this Tuesday (16), a commitment term that enables the construction of the new headquarters of the PF Police Station in Santos (SP). The ceremony took place in Brasília and was attended by the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, the president of the APS, Anderson Pomini, and the Director-General of the PF, Andrei Rodrigues.
Under the agreement, the APS includes the project in its Investment Plan, allocating R$50 million for construction. Combined with a previous commitment of R$8 million, the total investment is R$58 million, covering the conceptual design developed by the Federal Police.
The Federal Police reported that the new headquarters will be built on a plot of approximately 5,800 square meters. The space is owned by the federal government but has already been allocated to the agency. The exact location was not disclosed by authorities, but it is located in the Santos Port Polygonal and has direct access to the maritime complex's canal.

10-story building and service optimization
The project will span 10 floors and integrate all Federal Police Station units into the same complex, streamlining operational performance. According to the Federal Police, the location will enable a more agile response to incidents and operations on the high seas, strengthening the fight against drug trafficking, smuggling, and other transnational crimes.
The transfer of resources to the new headquarters is a long-standing demand of the Federal Police in Santos, and aims to increase security actions in the country's largest port, the agency highlighted.
"With this investment, the Federal Police expands its capacity to operate at a strategic point for the Brazilian economy and for the security of maritime borders, consolidating the port as a reference for surveillance and customs control," said the Federal Police in an official statement.
The Federal Police delegate in Santos, Rodrigo Perin Nardi, stated his full commitment to continuing the project.
