OPEC Crude Oil Production Increased by 524,000 Barrels Per Day in September

According to OPEC's monthly oil market report, Saudi Arabia saw the largest increase in production. Nigeria was the only country in the group to experience a decrease in production.
In Saudi Arabia, the group's largest producer, daily production increased by 248,000 barrels to 9,961,000 barrels. In Nigeria, production decreased by 21,000 barrels per day to 1,517,000 barrels.
Thus, OPEC's daily crude oil production increased by 524 thousand barrels in September compared to the previous month, reaching 28.44 million barrels.
During the same period, the daily crude oil production of the OPEC+ group, which consists of OPEC and some non-OPEC producer countries, increased by 630,000 barrels to 43,046,000 barrels.
OPEC maintains demand forecast for 2025 and 2026
OPEC has not changed its global oil demand growth forecasts for 2025 and 2026. Accordingly, demand is expected to reach 105.140.000 barrels per day in 2025, an increase of 1.3 million barrels per day compared to the previous year.
It is estimated that demand will increase by 1 million 170 thousand barrels per day to 59 million 170 thousand barrels in non-OECD countries in 2025, and by 130 thousand barrels per day to 45 million 970 thousand barrels in OECD countries.
Global demand is projected to increase by 1.38 million barrels per day to 106.52 million barrels per day in 2026. This increase is expected to reach 60.4 million barrels per day in non-OECD countries, with an increase of 1.23 million barrels per day, and 46.12 million barrels per day in OECD countries, with an increase of 150,000 barrels per day.
In general, the increase in demand is expected to come from other parts of Asia, particularly India and China, in non-OECD countries, and from the Americas within the OECD.
