TÜREB Industrialist Stakeholder Meeting Draws Great Interest from the Business World

Turkey, with its rapidly growing wind energy investments and industry, is among the leading countries in the wind energy ecosystem in Europe and globally. With an installed capacity of 14 GW, it ranks 6th in Europe and 12th globally. The TÜREB "Industrialist Stakeholder Meeting," which brought together investors, manufacturers, and industry professionals, was held with strong participation. Hosted by Pomega Energy Storage Technologies Inc., the meeting comprehensively evaluated Türkiye's current wind energy capacity, investment strategies, its position in the global energy transition, and current data on the sector's development.The Board of Directors meeting, chaired by Dr. İbrahim Erden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TÜREB, was attended by Mr. Ramazan Usta, Deputy Director General of Energy Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources; Sami Aslanhan , CEO of Pomega Energy Storage Technologies Inc., which hosted the meeting; and members of the TÜREB Board of Directors. The final report of the Turkish Wind Energy Congress (TÜREK), held this year in partnership with the IV. Azerbaijan Energy Forum, was also shared with the attendees. This year's TÜREK congress attracted considerable interest from 3,400 participants from 38 countries. Across 18 sessions, 212 speakers addressed key sector topics and shared them with industry stakeholders.
In the afternoon, the TÜREB Industrialist Stakeholder Meeting, which saw high participation from prominent figures from the business world, was led by Gökhan Serdar, Vice President of TÜREB Responsible for Industry; Mr. Ramazan Usta, Deputy General Manager of Energy Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources; Mr. İbrahim Kütük, Head of the Department of Management Services of the Ministry of Industry and Technology; and Mr. Mustafa Yalçın, Head of the Department of Energy of the General Directorate of Incentive Implementation of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
Speaking at the meeting , TÜREB Chairman Dr. İbrahim Erden said, "Our key agenda items today include the domestic goods circular, financing challenges for domestic industry and potential financing support packages, YEKA (Turkish Electricity Transactions) and localization requirements, domestic equipment support for storage projects, the potential export impacts of the requirement to use 25 percent domestically produced sheet metal in towers, and investment incentive certificates. We will jointly evaluate these issues, hold consultations, and develop the necessary roadmap."
At the TÜREB Industrial Stakeholder Meeting , investors' views and suggestions were discussed, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships for the sector's sustainable growth. Investors playing a critical role in Turkey's clean energy transition were brought together to facilitate knowledge sharing and the development of strategic partnerships.
