The Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway will save 700 million liras on fuel.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu inspected the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway construction site, currently under construction, in Kırıkkale on July 11.
Uraloğlu, noting that Kırıkkale is located at the intersection of the highway route connecting Black Sea ports and Northern Anatolian cities to southern industrial centers and Mediterranean ports, said, “We are currently at the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway construction site, one of the most important highway transportation projects currently under construction in Kırıkkale. With its strategic location at the intersection of roads extending east via Yozgat-Sivas, to the Black Sea via Çorum, and to the Mediterranean and Southeast via Kayseri, Kırıkkale is one of the region's most important logistical, economic, and social centers, as it is located at the intersection of 42 provinces. Therefore, we attach particular importance to the development of Kırıkkale's transportation networks.”
Uraloğlu stated that they have invested over 47 billion lira in Kırıkkale's transportation and communication infrastructure in the last 23 years, and that the length of divided roads has been increased from 39 kilometers to 235 kilometers, and the length of bituminous hot coating roads has been increased from 30 kilometers to 197 kilometers.
“WE CONTINUE OUR CONSTRUCTION WORKS 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS AGO”
Uraloğlu stated that the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway Project is not just a transportation project, but a 120-kilometer civilization line with 101 kilometers of main trunk and 19 kilometers of connection roads, saying, “We are building one of the finest examples of modern engineering with 7 intersections, 4 tunnels, 8 viaducts, 39 bridges, 46 underpasses and 3 highway service facilities, including the Ankara ring road, development road, Elmadağ, Kırıkkale west, south and east, and Yozgat junction. Our highway will start from the Kızılcaköy location on the Ankara ring road and continue off the coast of Gökçeyurt, Lalahan, Hasanoğlan, Elmadağ and Yahşihan. It will cross the Kızılırmak River and connect to the Kırıkkale-Yozgat state road from the north of Çerikli. So far, we have completed approximately 6 million cubic meters of excavation and 5 million cubic meters of filling work in earthworks within the scope of our project. 59 culverts and 10 "We have completed the underpass construction. We are continuing construction on 27 culverts and 13 underpasses. We are rapidly continuing our construction work 24/7," he said.
Uraloğlu pointed out that the Ankara-Kırıkkale-Delice Highway serves as an important bridge between the highway corridors providing access from Marmara to Eastern Anatolia, from the Aegean to the Black Sea, and from the Mediterranean to the Caucasus, and that the current 80-minute journey will be reduced to 43 minutes.
'41,000 tons of carbon emissions will be reduced'
Uraloğlu said, “By eliminating traffic congestion with the highway, we will save 5.2 billion lira annually, including 4.5 billion lira in time and 700 million lira in fuel. In other words, the money we spend here will be put back into our country's coffers in approximately 10-12 years. In this sense, we have demonstrated the feasibility of this project. Furthermore, by reducing carbon emissions by 41,000 tons, we will protect the natural beauty of these lands with an environmentally friendly project. Our highway project will form the first leg of the highway projects planned to be implemented in the coming years, connecting Ankara to Samsun in the north and all the way to the Iranian border in the east. In this respect, our project is of strategic importance not only for the region but also for Turkey's role in the global logistics network.”
