Three new directors take office at PortosRio

Names were approved at an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors
PortosRio, the Port Authority that manages Rio de Janeiro's public ports, announced the appointment of three new directors to its current administration. The appointments of Ricardo Ganem Leal, Francisco José de Sousa Diogo, and Hideraldo Luis Aragão Mouta were approved at an extraordinary meeting of the Board of Directors (Consad).
Ricardo Ganem is the new Director of Port Management. Previously, he held the position of Superintendent of Business Sustainability at the Port Authority. Ganem is currently a public administrator focused on port and waterway management, with an emphasis on sustainability. He also has experience in governance applied to the remediation of environmental and land liabilities at PortosRio ports.
Francisco Diogo has taken over as Administrative and Financial Director. With a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, he has experience in leadership and administrative management. In the political arena, he served as councilor and president of the City Council, and as Secretary of Administration and Finance, Economic Planning, and Coordination for the Nova Russas City Hall. He also served as Director-General of the Belford Roxo City Council, where he was responsible for financial control, strategic planning, and internal policy development.
Hideraldo Mouta has taken office as Director of Business and Sustainability. A Port and Environmental Engineer with an MBA in Port Management and Logistics and a Bachelor's degree in Nautical Science, he has over 45 years of experience in port management and operations. He served as president of PortosRio from 2016 to 2017 and held leadership positions in major Brazilian ports such as Itaqui, Salvador, Santos, Aratu, and Ponta da Madeira. His career also includes international experience, with training courses conducted at the ports of Rotterdam and Hamburg, as well as work on dredging, port logistics, and environmental sustainability projects.
