Memorandum of Understanding in the Energy Field Signed Between Türkiye and Oman

Bayraktar In a post from his X account, he stated that they held a meeting with Oman's Minister of Energy and Mines, Salim Nasser Al Aufi, as part of their working visit to Muscat, the capital of Oman, to strengthen the energy potential between the two countries.
Following the meeting, they signed a memorandum of understanding between Türkiye and Oman, paving the way for concrete cooperation in energy. Bayraktar , used the following statements:
"With this agreement, we aim to collaborate on processes ranging from oil and natural gas exploration to transportation and processing. Furthermore, technical knowledge sharing and the implementation of joint projects in areas such as electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and hydrogen technologies are among the fundamental elements of our agreement. I hope that this agreement, which will advance our existing collaborations in various sectors, will deepen with concrete projects in the coming period and produce shared gains for both countries."
Minister Bayraktar He noted that they also met with Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, and discussed potential investment opportunities in various fields, from oil and natural gas to renewable energy and electricity infrastructure, both in bilateral and third-country markets.
Tripartite agreement signed
Bayraktar According to the statement made by the Ministry regarding Oman's visit, during the visit, the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) took an important step towards expanding its presence in Oman's high-end oil and gas exploration and production sector.
TPAO signed a tripartite agreement with the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) of the Sultanate of Oman and OQ Exploration and Production New Ventures LLC (OQEP).
Within the scope of this agreement, TPAO granted MEM and OQEP a 3-month exclusive right to evaluate and examine certain sites.
In addition, a cooperation agreement was signed between TPAO and OQEP to evaluate new opportunities.
