Reactions continue to the omnibus bill, publicly known as the "occupation law," prepared in response to the demands of mining and energy companies. Citizens seeking to protect their living spaces continue their resistance to the law's withdrawal.
The omnibus bill is expected to be debated in Parliament's General Assembly tomorrow, Wednesday, July 16th. If passed, the bill will significantly weaken the protective shields over forests, pastures, agricultural lands, and water resources, paving the way for corporate energy and mining projects to exploit nature under the guise of public benefit. Life advocates will hold a mass demonstration in front of Parliament on the morning of Wednesday, July 16th, the day the omnibus bill will be debated.
